Bangkok at Christmas 2

These trees were spotted at (from top left) MBK, Thong Lor, Asok, Siam Centre, Times Square, between sois 19 and 21, Siam Discovery and Robinson's (Sukhumvit Soi 19)

Outside Emporium (and Siam Paragon, not pictured) is the Christmas rabbit outside his coach.

You know the tale, right? The Christmas rabbit?

No. Nor me.

I love your pictures of all the Christmas trees in Bangkok. I think the rabbits and bunnies used in many of the decorations are there because 2011 is the year of the rabbit in the Chinese calendar.

Jennie, I don't know the Christmas Rabbit either, but from what I saw at Siam Paragon, it seems they are mixing Alice in Wonderland together
with Christmas?

Thanks Melanie. They are pretty spectacular, aren't they? Final pictures tomorrow. Yes, that's what all the promo said but I think Christmas time and rabbits are an odd combination...

Laurie, it does have a definite AiW White Rabbit feel doesn't it? Bonkers but fun.

Great stuff! I love the Bliss writ large yesterday. Just being confronted with the word in the street would be uplifting! You could put it on Christmas cards - substitute for Christmas Spirit.
veri-word is zonewora which is almost zone word - each zone of city has big word displayed. No? Oh. OK. Happy Christmas Jenny. xxx

RTC, I loved the big words too. They reminded me of cookie trays though I've no idea why at 10ft tall! Happy Christmas to you too.... I haven't been a very good blogger these last few months... Will try to get better!

Lily, thank you. And ditto above too.

You mean you don't know the tale of the Christmas Rabbit? I'm shocked and saddened. The Christmas Rabbit gives chocolate to all the little children...no, wait - that's the Easter Bunny. Hm - maybe there is a Rabbit for all Seasons?

Merry Christmas, Jenny!

When I first saw them, the rabbits as snowmen at J Avenue, I thought the Thais are getting Xmas and Easter mixed up... until I got it: 2011 will be the Year of the Rabbit.
Happy New Year!
