Wednesday's Windows

Wednesday's Windows is my new regular blog slot. I've always taken photos of window displays and sometimes I've blogged them but mostly, I've haven't, wondering why anyone else would be interested.

Now that I'm moving my interests back towards the visual, I've decided to establish Wednesday's Windows. They might be window displays, or they might be interiors; we shall have to see. (I'm making this up as I go along.)

So here's the first one: I hate macaroons but I love playing with scale!

So many macaroons! They must be the 'in thing'. As a food item they aren't my favourite either, but as a window display I quite like them, especially the pink one. Like odd little fluffy cushions. And Wednesday windows sounds fun!

Thanks Jayne. I just love the playing with scale thing. Silly but effective.

The shoes, the shoes - so tempting! How do prices compare with the UK? (Don't worry, I'm not asking you to post a pair to me - just curious!)

What an excellent idea this is. Plus now every Wednesday I can leap out of bed with good reason! Yes now it's been mentioned I'd like to know how shoe prices compare. Not that I buy them very often and my days of luscious high heels are over, or so the chiropractor tells me - just nice to know. x

Oh I love this new post idea, looking forward to seeing the entries each week. Central near us also had some macaroon displays. I like it.

I have also never had a macaroon, the colour puts me off

Chris, imported shoes cost more than the UK because of import duties but the sales are better here. Real sales of 70% are quite common, and not those awful sales where they buy in rubbish just for the sale (John Lewis, I'm looking at you!) But you can buy very cheap shoes (made in China) on the street for 200 baht (£4) Or copies of designer shoes for a range of prices dependent on the quality!

RTC, I haven't really had any days of high heels. I feel a bit cheated.

DJ, thank you. Me too. They always catch my eye.

TEW, They seem to be the fashionable thing, don't they? You can't escape them.
