We're still dry...

In another life I dreamed about being a window dresser.

Here are two windows that caught my eye while I was in London. Nostalgic?

The first one is John Lewis.

The second one is Love Bakery in the King's Road. The Union Jack cake in the window was a wedding commission.

I love looking at window displays and don't think you can beat the ones they have in London.

These are fabulous.

1) I love the fact that the wedding thing gives everybody a little cupcake! What a brilliant idea.
2) The shop windows in Chelsea around the week of Chelsea Flower Show really amaze me - they go to such lengths, with no thought of reward, and they're so imaginative. Only seen on internet, alas.
3) according to http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-pacific-15426529 and other news bits it's a long haul and a hell of a lot of water before you get normality back.
4) my brother's in Cambodia right now and is kind of hoping that a flooded BKK - his link airport - will delay his stay with his kids and grandchildren!!

Debs, thank you.

RTC, yes, you're absolutely right. We have weeks of this. The tidal stuff is part of the problem plus the enormous quantities of rain we've had from the rainy season. They've tried to control the rain but there's just too much. This is not going to be over in the next day or two... much longer, long haul stuff. I hope your brother's had a fabulous time with family but I really hope our airport doesn't flood or shut!
