Word count day

Whirrrkiiiiplunkkkkeeee.

That’s the sound of my relief after four days of being offline at home and trying to negotiate with a Thai internet provider. It was quickly followed up by a surge in serotonin and a ‘wheeeeee’ sound. It really is a bit pathetic and I think I may need help.

****

Okay, so Sunday is:
• Word count confession day.
• The day Daughter goes off on school residential.
• The eve of Son’s GCSE mock exams.

I can’t DO any more about any of those things. Words are written; bags and brains are packed with clothes and facts respectively. (I do hope Daughter's gone up north with the clothes and not the facts... What would Son do tomorrow in the exam hall to find his brain containing nothing but frivolous outfits?) Still, apart from checking who has packed what, I’ve done what I can.

This week's word count confession: 3814 words. Now I’m off to catch up with some blogs…

If you can keep up that rate of output for two more weeks, you'll be finished in a fortnight. Go for it!

Well done on the word count. Especially when you've had so much else to contend with.

Queenie, I forgot to update the meter... I've done that now BUT I also know that I'm going to go over the 90k. Still, I'm aiming at 2 weeks: end of Nov I said!

Helen, thank you honey.

JJ, it's 3814 more than I have done. And look at that wordometer, woohoo! Nearly there, can you smell success! x

LPlate, *grins* I can certainly smell the end!

Yippeeeeeh or something along those lines. Your woolly chum is amazed at your workrate. Hope son does well with his mocks and daughter enjoys her time away. Put your feet up for a well earned glass of something.

Great word count, JJ.

You need to push really hard and get over that 90K mark in the next 10 days while I'm here. Then I'll be able to buy you one of those vaguely alcoholic drinks that you seem to like in celebration! Go on - heave!

Nearly 4k words is pretty damn good in my (nearly finished) book, JJ.

Well done.

Oh honey that is a bloomin brilliant word count for the week!! I am so proud of you!! (Knew you could do it!!!). Not long to go now till you'll be able to say 'I've written my first novel'

Tell son that Aunty Carol (he should laugh at that) sends her love and lots of luck for tomorrow and tell daughter that I hope she has a wonderful time!!

I'd be proud with a near 4k word count. As for clothes, I found Sue warming her knickers with a hairdryer earlier today. (I promised not to say, so you didn't hear it here.)

Hey, Sheepish, you didn't think I'd grind to halt did you? I decided I'd better keep reporting in!

Debs, thank you. I confess, I am a bit grinny.

Simon, just not the double gins in the night market, right? Therein lies danger...

Fia, "in my (nearly finished) book" I LOVE it. Thanks Fia.

Carol, thanks hon. You've had faith even when I didn't...

DOT, OMG, that's brilliant (the knickers, not the wordcount but that was okay too! My lips are sealed but thanks for sharing.)
