I'm going on a bear hunt...

There was a black dog scratching at my door yesterday.

It was my sister’s birthday and I didn’t get to speak with her because of the time difference and her being at college.

I found out while on the ‘phone to my Dad that someone else has died. This makes three since the beginning of January.

So today, I am going off piste; I am going on an adventure into parts of Bangkok not covered by the Nancy Chandler map because I am feeling in need of change. I need to get lost in my head, see new things, embark on a mission to nowhere; an artist’s date if you will.

I am already feeling cheerier.

What an excellent plan. Sorry to hear about your trio of deaths; I had a January like that last year, and it's no fun. Hope your adventure has the desired result - and please do tell us about it when you come back.

((()))s. I know how hard it is to be so far away.

Enjoy and find some healing on your adventure.

Bea, mad as a hatter.

Thanks LPlate. (It was the crack of dawn where you are!)

Queenie, thank you. I'm back and totally knackered. I shall spill all tomorrow.

Liz, thank you. I really can be, can't be.

Carol, you see along with everything else, I do expect you to be psychic!

I must say I laughed at your last post about the French attitude to queues, I understand exactly what you mean!!
I hope you have an interesting and inspiring day , I think I could do with something similar, it gets too easy to settle into a routine and when the Black dogs are nipping at the heels[as I know only too well] getting out of your comfort zone often quietens them down. But do watch out for Brown bears!!!!

Sheepish, I didn't see any brown bears! Only dogs. Yes, I think expanding one's horizon is important. I'm glad to report that I feel quite a bit cheerier today.

Flowerpot, thank you. See above.

Helen, phew! I thought you meant me.
