The Only Person in the World

Am I the only person in the world who didn’t know pineapples grew in a field?

When the man from Del Monte he say yes’ was he never in a pineapple field?

I don’t have a picture of a pineapple field, but there’s one here for you to look at.

I do, however, have very lovely pictures of bananas from Krabi. You’ll have to make do with those. And yes, I knew bananas grew on trees and not in plastic trays...

Great photos as always JJ. I can't look at a banana tree without thinking of the fruit picker stories I heard in Australia - mainly about huge spiders!

Hi JJ,
Thanks for th nice photos of the bananas. Now I know they grow on trees instead of in the supermarkets. Hehehe.....

Cheers!

I was convinced pineapples grew on trees until I actually saw them growing in a field. Doh!

Yvonne, I KNOW! And Angie left a message on one of the Christmas tree posts about two huge spiders being in a Christmas tree they bought! I AM SO KEEPING THE FAKE TREE!

Hi ME, I do only like meat I can scrape out of polystyrene ...

Lane, I jolly nearly made that joke myself too!

Helen, I'm SO relieved... I was stunned - they grow on the ground? Well, I didn't know.

My step-father grows his own bananas. I only found out about pineapples a few years ago too.

Spiders in the Christmas tree! I missed that. So relieved we have a fake one now.

Karen, peanuts grow UNDERGROUND? What are you trying to do to me, woman? Blow my head apart? (LOL: do they really?)

Debs, well I was bemoaning the fake tree in Bangkok situation and Angie left a message ...now I never want a real tree again.

Tam, you are SO right. I heart my fake tree...

Wait a minute ... I'm back. Why do peanuts grow in the soil but cashew nuts grow on trees? Why? WHY? Just to confuse me?

Wasn't there an Elvis movie about growing pineapples? I think he danced about in fields. I'm off to google it!
