Oh buggerty bottoms

I wasn’t trying to lull Sheepish into a false sense of security… I had a dire week. Really, horribly busy and more shopping for those damn costumes! I even picked up some extra tasks on the way.

In order not to hand in a pitiful word count, I’ve been indulging in some illicit Sunday writing. It’s only illicit according to the Woolly One, but Saturday and Sunday writing has always been part of my routine. The rest of the family are out during the week at work and school and so come the weekend, they want to stay home and play with their toys.

This week’s word count is 3265 words. (Oh bugger, I’ve just seen Sheepish’s word count…and she’s beaten me again. I am trying to remember that getting my words written makes me a winner too, but bah, pah, and other annoyed noises.)

*Sigh* And I’ve another bad week coming up with my flying to London, corresponding jetlag and my TLC Industry Day – for which I haven’t yet got an elevator speech prepared.

I remember when you thought 3265 words a week might be an unattainable goal. I think you're doing really well. One more week and you'll break the 80k barrier (well OK maybe not next week what with all the travelling... but you never know!).

I don't want to gloat, well actually I do because I have to while I can. Any day the ability to write coherent sentences may desert me, and you did have a head start on me. The word today is pingmen are they at all like ladyboys do you think? Seriously though I am finding this mini race a great incentive and although you didn't win today you did exceed your weekly goal. So well done to both of us and see you next Sunday.

Me too JJ, you beat me this week. I managed 3000...but I was interrupted by the chainsaw masacre! Well there has to be some excuse! x

That's still a very decent word count!

I'm enjoying the Sheepy/Tea Drinker battle.

You're all absolutely right (apart from that woollie interloper over there, who's going to find herself on a hot wash if she keeps gloating...)

It is churlish of me to sulk. There was a day when a bad week meant NO writing. Now a bad week is over 3000 words? Well, that ain't bad eh?

Thank you Queenie for dragging me to my senses.

sheepish, I think pingmen are probably what ladyboys used to be! (And a begrudging well done to you...)

Debs, thank you. Leaving tomorrow night!

DJ, thank you.

LPlate, what on earth is 'the chainsaw masacre'?

Lane, I'm glad we're providing you with entertainment! And yes, it's not bad, is it?
