Twit-her

I’m having another go at Twitter. It wasn’t a rip roaring success last time. Nobody believes me when I say I’m shy but I am, so there.

Last time, I signed up to follow my friends (and they reciprocated) and all was well. But the minute a stranger asked to follow me I had a bit of a breakdown. I stood in a cyber corner, watching, waiting until I felt a bit more comfortable. Not a lot of fun for anyone. Then there was a snarky comment and went and found my handbag and snuck home - without even saying thank you to the host. (Closed up the account to friends only.)

But I’ve been watching Twitter over this whole Bangkok/Red Shirt thing, and I thought I might have another go. I'd like to be part of the writing twittering thing.

If you’d like to follow me, you can find me here:

I promise to try really hard not to be the party pooper in the corner.

I feel shy, too, sometimes, and nobody believes me either. So I believe you. There are some lovely people on Twitter, you had bad luck coming across one of the other kind so early. The writerly types are especially fab. Glad you're coming back to play!

I daren't bring another distraction into my life, so I'm letting Twitter pass me by for now, but when I succumb I'll come and find you :o))

Queenie, it still scares me but ... I wanna play too!

Chris, hurrah. I'll come and find you too.

Karen, I know... let's not go there.

Ooh, I'm sort of jealous you're taking the plunge...I love reading friend's tweets, but like Karen, I'm afraid it will be too much of a distraction to actually join. Hope you enjoy it. And don't be too shy (completely understand that one)! :)

Oh, the randomness of Twitter is sooo inspiring... I love that you can be involved or stand back from it and no one's any the wiser. It keeps me sane(ish) during my many hours of cow-counting. I've even discussed tights with Katie Fforde while on the phone to clients - how cool is that?!

I'm resisting for as long as possible. I wonder how long I'll hold out. Maybe it's because I'm scared I won't be able to blabber on ....
