Visitor

We have a little pet in our villa garden.

He (we'll assume) comes out to say hello whenever we get back to our villa or go out into the garden. He appears on the other side of the window to watch me write. He is very tolerant of my camera, posing for long periods until one of us gets bored.

I've labelled his picture 'lizardy thing' but does anyone know what he is? Iguana? Chameleon? I must need a new reference book.

He's a Garden Fence Lizard (in Thai "Gin-gah" - both Gs hard). Unsurprisingly, if he poses in conspicuous places for long periods of time he's male - really. He's related to chameleons but he's never made me laugh....

Great photos.

Have a nice day, Boonsong

He's gorgeous. How big is he? I can't really get a sense of scale from your pics.

Queenie, isn't he pretty? I particularly like the middle pose. He's about a foot long nose to tippy tail but that makes him sound very big. He's maybe an inch wide. Does that help?

I've no idea what he is... except for handsome, and he seems to know it :)
