Karen, they don't mind us if we don't mind them. Being sensible I steer fairly clear of them and teach my kids the same. They aren't owned but they aren't wild either. These ones are cute though.
Lane, probably both of us did. I did some writing for them. http://www.scadbangkok.org/ and Carol did some designs for them.
The Thais feed the street animals as it makes merit for their next life. There's lots of food about because it's an eating culture (and it's eaten on the streets) and also because food is given as a gift to make merit on temples and shrines.
I moved with my family to Bangkok in July 2005. What do I do? I make hats and costumes; I’ve written articles, a novel and a non-fiction book is underway… I've held a variety of volunteer positions within the expat community.
Tea stains is where I write and illustrate the things that consume me: life in Thailand, shop windows, books, cats, making, hats, fascinators, tea and the colour orange.

So sweet how they're nose to tail.
Oh gosh, are they in a telephone box? Bless their hearts!
Debs, aren't they sweet?
Amanda, well spotted; they are in a telephone box. Nicely tucked out of the way of our feet.
Oh how cute! Makes you want to pick one up and cuddle it. Are they friendly?
Oh poor things. Who feeds them? Didn't you or Carol talk about a dog charity there once?

This subject is worth a whole post.
Thanks JJ. I thought they looked well fed.
A blog post would be good (no pressure:-)
