Newsflash!

I’m taking a blog break.

I’m tired and a bit bored with myself.

I’m struggling with my book and need to concentrate on that for a bit. I shall continue to read blogs but I'm not sure about commenting. I will update my wordmeter and reading material.

Blogging has become more of a pressure than fun, which is no good at all.

I don’t know if it’ll be three days or three weeks that I am away for. I will be in the UK for the last two weeks in April. I suspect that it will be so exciting to be there again that I’ll have lots to say.

I hope to see you back here soon.

Blogbreaks are essential sometimes. Take as long as you need - you'll know when you're ready to come back, it'll be when the prospect of blogging feels like fun again. Hope the writing goes well, you're nearly halfway, keep on truckin'.

completely understandable, pal. Take your time. Do what you need. we'll be here when you get back! xo
ps but if you're in London let me know. I'd love to meet up!

I know how you feel, JJ. Been wondering about taking a bit of a break myself.

Have a good visit, and good luck with the writing. You've been making great progress and should be very proud of yourself.

Thanks Rachel. See you soon.

Lane, it's gotta be fun, hasn't it? And normally I love it... so a break is a good idea.

Queenie, Thank you. Yes, I think so. If I don't come back before my trip, I'll bet my Uk visit will get me going again. There's a puppy to blog about at my parents!

Sue, thank you. Meeting up would be lovely. I'll get in touch.

Liane, thanks m'dear. Perhaps there's lots of it about. I am proud of myself, but these last 10,000 words have felt like... well they've been damned hard work and I need to concentrate. *sigh*

Enjoy your break!

I know what you mean about blogging becoming something of a chore instead of fun. I'm trying to rekindle my love of blogging but it doesn't appear to be happening yet.

Take care and see you when you return!

When I took my break I came back with lots of enthusiasm (and a different blog!) so I know all about the benfits a break can bring.

Must be contagious, I've been struggling to find enthusiasm as well.

I'll miss your posts, but take care of yourself and enjoy your break! We'll be here when you feel ready to return.

If you need a break then it's better to take one than try to keep going. Soooooooooo excited about you coming to UK!

Been feeling that way too.

Good luck with the book and enjoy the UK!

Enjoy your break. I know how you feel, I get like that occasionally and it's good to step aside sometimes. Enjoy the UK.

I'll be back soon.

Give me a shout if you fancy meeting up - I'm sure the South East has just about managed to re-stock its wine cellars since we last went cavorting!

Blog breaks are no bad thing - we'll all still be here when you get back to it :0)

Nooo! Sorry, have been up to the eyeballs myself so have only just read this. Okay, calm, (or gather as dear Kate would say). Enjoy the break and good luck with the writing.

I've been off-line again so have only just seen this. Have a good time and come back refreshed, whenever you feel ready to dazzle us with your erudite posts. Not sure what that word means but it looks good!!!
Take care.

Hope you come back refreshed and energised! We'll be here waiting for you.

Oh, JJ, I've just returned after seeing your comment - I should have warned you not to look!! The sailing couple were boarded by pirates and it ended tragically, fortunately a rare incident. I'm sure your daughter will be perfectly safe; everyone's going to be much more vigilant about head injuries now, best, CX

Miss you already! Sometimes it's good to grab a break though. If you're not back before - enjoy your puppy cuddling in the UK.

Kat :-)

Have a good blog break and I hope all is well with you over in Thailand. Seen on news about the unrest over there and some people calling for a revolution!

I saw it too and thought of you. Hope all is well.
