Julia Bell's got my manuscript. *holds breath*
I met with her tonight and she'd read section one.
She didn't say 'Don't give up your day job.'
She said I could write; she liked my style.
She said I was right: I've started in the wrong place.
She said when I re-start I should change to the third person.
She's going to read some more tomorrow morning and we'll talk again.

Don't hold your breath too long; it would be a crying shame for you to keel over at this point.
Oooh sounds like really useful and helpful feedback :o)
She said good, positive things. That's brilliant... and breathe:-)
p.s. Just popping back to wish you and yours a very Happy Christmas before I sign off blogger until after Christmas. Have a lovely time :o) xx
I agree with Leigh....and blue is not your best colour :-D
It's a shame that you've started in the wrong place (but I'm sure it will not be wasted and you will be able to use some of it later) but absolutely brilliant that she's told you what we've been telling you all along.....you can write!!
Hope you have a great Christmas and I'm looking forward to hearing all about it when you get back to Bangkok.

Wow, that's so positive! You were going to start again anyway so you've had confirmation that you're on the right track - and from Julia Bell to boot!
Hope you're enjoying the course.

Going in the right direction and a new Race to start in the New Year. We will get there in the end it just takes some of us longer than others!!!
Have a super Christmas.
OMG!
That is fantastic! That is brilliant. That is wonderful!
You are the cleverest person I know!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
I turn my back for a couple of weeks and people are looking at your manuscript?!!!
Constructive criticism is superb, sounds exciting!
Have a happy Christmas!
Just catching up with you... all sounds good. Well done on deciding to ditch the unnecessary bits. Looking forward to hearing about the rest, but in the meantime, season's greetings!
And Julia knows. She does. She does!
It must be nice to have your instincts confirmed. You can trust all future judgments.
