Uh oh

I’m having the day off 100 words … I hope that’s not a mistake. I’m an ‘all or nothing’ kind of person and I’m a bit worried that if I give myself the time off it’ll be easier to do that again.

However, yesterday was a terrible struggle and today is proving to be too. There’s too much upheaval of coming home – family etc. I feel panicky and anxious about writing today so instead of trying and getting more and more upset about it, I’m giving myself the night off. I’ll try again tomorrow.

I don't think it's a mistake. Sometimes I can't bring myself to write no matter how much I try, like I'm burnt out emotionally. I just take a break and go back guns blazing. Hope you're enjoying being back in the UK!

Agreed! It's a holiday here on the 4th, so I'll give you that excuse if you want. ;) Give yourself a break and try again tomorrow.
Hope you're having a good time.

You cant do everything sweetie. Living on the other side of the world means that family all need a piece of you when they get you back.

Maybe someone accidentally borrowed the writing bit of you. They'll give it back. Worry not.

I'm the same. What if you have two 100 word writing sessions the next day to make up for it?

It's silly but psychologically you'll probably feel better about taking that day off (which is so understandable jj!)

I've took a couple of days off too...don't worry about it. You've done so well these last few weeks having a day off will not hurt.

And if you struggle to get back into it I'll come along and nag you (and please nag me too!)

What Pacha said - can't you do 200 words tomorrow? Whether or not, go easy on yourself, OK?

Don't be so hard on yourself!

You've done over 100 on some days, so it will all level out. The key is not to let 'guilt' stop you going back to the 100 days when your body/mind has caught up with your journey.
