Ooh that's lovely. Did you make it? I'm very impressed.

Cally, thank you. Yes I did. I drew the picture, then made a terrible hash of drawing the lines of wax, so Bung Heam, the husband at the home stay, did that bit for me, and then I painted it myself.

Thats brilliant jj. I love the colours. I'm very impressed too. Making a batik and everything. Did you make it during your trip?

It seems as if you have had a really interesting eco trip. Will it be possible to read the articles you write about the trip as I think it will be very illuminating about the concept. I have done painting on silk so know how hard it is to do Batik well done and what a lovely memento of your trip.

They are beautiful jj and I love the way one is smiling and the other is a grumpy fish. The colours are so vibrant!

Oh, JJ, that's wonderful. No one's going to laugh at that. You are clever.

I did some batik at school! It was lots of fun!

Although the batik I did wasn't as gorgeous as your's.

Thanks Pacha. Yes, I did it on the trip. It was rather intimidating because various villager turned up to watch the 'foreigner' make a batik, so I had an audience of up to six while I was doing it. No pressure, or anything!

Carol, thanks. One smiley, one sad. I think the sad fish has tail envy...

Thanks Cathy.

Sheepish, thank you. I hope you'll be able to read some of them. I will let you know if and when they appear.

Thanks Lane.

Leigh, thank you. I'm always a bit self conscious of my drawing. It looks like a child's done it.

A Writer, thank you. and I bet it was lovely.
