It's a shocker, isn't it? At 6.30pm it wasn't raining. This is what it looked like at 8.30pm.

It reminds me of streets in Buenos Aires! Has the rain stopped now? Are you afloat?

Hi all, Thailand is a tropical country so the rain is ... well ... tropical. It falls in sheets - I need to use all those old cliches to describe really heavily falling rain!

It is spectacular - from inside your apartment. You really don't want to be caught out in it as it soaks you in seconds. During the rainy season (we're near the end now) it can rain every day or not. No real pattern. But it's impressive, and I love it, just not in the evening on the way to school for a meeting.

The most odd thing about it is that it's warm. In the UK you're cold in the rain, here you stay warm, which never ceases to amaze me.

Oooh that reminds me of when I went to Nepal last October. It rained 80% of the time!
